How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data only as long as we need it to provide CertPrepX to you, meet legal obligations, and keep the service secure. This page explains what happens while your account is active and after you ask us to delete it.

While your account is active

We retain your account details, study activity and progress, and payment status for as long as your account remains active, so your history, stats, and subscription continue to work as expected.

When you delete your account

When you delete your account:

• Your personal data is removed from our active systems within 30 days.
• Copies in our routine backups are removed on a rolling basis as those backups age out.

Records we are required to keep

We may retain a limited set of records — for example, payment and tax records — where the law requires us to keep them, even after your account is deleted. These are held only for as long as the applicable requirement demands.

How to request deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Account Settings, or by emailing support@certprepx.com. We respond within 2–3 business days.
